2. Poinsettia Plant

Poinsettias are the most popular of the holiday plants. Poinsettias also bloom in cream, lemon, peach, pink colors and with white and gold-splashed leaves. These plants are native to Mexico and Central America. (theflowerexpert.com)

Fun Fact: According to the flowerexpert.com, the thought that they are poisonous has recently been debunked. Poinsettia’s can still cause irritation like skin rash, stomach ache or diarrhea (mayoclinic.org).

3. Holly Plant

For hundreds of years, holly has been used to decorate for the winter season. There are more than 750 species of hollies, but only two are used for indoor decorating. “In Europe, Ilex aquifolium, known as English holly, predominates. This is a type of fern that grows upright vs the hanging ferns you tend to see outside. While this fern can be used for outdoor decor, it can also be used indoors, making it a great holiday gift!

5. Rosemary

Yes, you heard that right. Rosemary makes a great Christmas/holiday gift when cut into the shape of a Christmas tree! What an awesome idea!
